The products that saved me this year

After a full season of weddings, there are some standout items that truly saved me — these products earned a permanent spot in my coordinator kit. I’m sharing them all below — my tried-and-true, can’t-work-without favourites that I’ll never coordinate another wedding without.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve put my phone down during setup because my outfit didn’t have pockets — and then spent ten minutes hunting it down. This sleek little server apron is the perfect solution. It goes with any outfit, has plenty of pockets, and keeps everything you need right where you need it.
Unconventional? Maybe. But after one too many rental mics cut out or refused to connect during rehearsal, I started bringing my own — and it’s been a total game changer. Having a reliable mic on hand has saved the day more than once.
Adjustable Ear plugs
You know that post-dinner-lull — the time between the party starting and the night winding down? These adjustable ear plugs are a quiet little blessing. They take the edge off the noise while still letting you stay tuned in and responsive.
Total lifesaver! No one ever plans for leftovers, but couples are always so grateful when I pack up a few plates for them to enjoy after the chaos. It’s such a small gesture that makes a big difference — and it feels good to surprise them with a delicious meal to end their night (they'll be hungry).
This one earns its spot twice over. First, it’s perfect for setup content — the adjustable legs can grip onto just about anything (a chair back works like a charm). Second, it’s great for capturing
behind-the-scenes or special moments when the couple doesn’t have full-day photo coverage. Speeches, first dances — you name it.
Wedding days are long, and your phone does a lot of heavy lifting — playlists, messages, vendor check-ins, photos. Trust me, your battery won’t make it. A good portable charger is non-negotiable. The last thing you want is a dead phone when you’re trying to confirm the limo’s ETA at midnight.
These have come in handy more times than I can count — wiping down patio furniture after a morning drizzle, cleaning off damp cocktail tables, or just keeping things tidy. Simple, practical, and surprisingly useful.
It’s almost guaranteed that something will need cutting — ribbon, signage, place cards. I love this bright red pair because I can always spot them in the chaos of setup!
Once you know, you know — something always needs to be taped. My most unexpected use this year? Securing picture frames on an outdoor memory bench. The wind was relentless, frames flipping everywhere, but a bit of double-sided tape kept everything perfectly in place.
You might laugh, but these are my secret weapon! I used them all summer to secure tulle to wooden ceremony arches. They’re clear, hold beautifully, and keep everything looking perfectly draped — even in the wind (the last thing you want is the tule blowing off mid-ceremony).
